Once Avocados, Mangoes and Papayas are ripe, it’s important to store them properly to prevent them from spoiling too quickly. Here are some tips on how to store ripe Avocados, Mangoes and Papayas.
Avocados
If you have ripe Avocados that you’re not ready to eat yet, you can store them 2-4 days in the refrigerator to slow down the ongoing ripening process. If you have cut a ripe Avocado, store the remaining half in an airtight container in the refrigerator with the pit still intact. This will help prevent the flesh from turning brown too quickly.
Mangoes
If you have really ripe Mangoes, you can store them in the refrigerator to help prolong their freshness. If you have cut a ripe Mango, store the remaining fruit in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It’s important to note that storing ripe Avocados and Mangoes in the refrigerator can cause the flesh to become slightly firmer and lose some of their flavour. Therefore, it’s best to use them as soon as possible to enjoy their optimal flavour and texture.
Papayas
After purchase, store your Papayas in the refrigerator to keep them fresh. Eat your Papaya at room temperature for maximum taste. But why wait? Enjoy now!

Avocados, Mangoes and Papayas are delicious and versatile fruits that can be used in a variety of dishes. Please see our packs for instructions for cutting. Here are some tips on how to prepare them:
Avocados
To prepare an Avocado, first wash it thoroughly under running water. Next, cut the Avocado in half lengthwise by running a sharp knife around the pit. Twist the two halves in opposite directions to separate them. To remove the pit, gently tap it with the blade of a knife and twist it to release it from the flesh. You can then scoop out the flesh with a spoon and slice it for use in salads, sandwiches, or as a topping for toast.
When working with Avocados, it’s important to note that they can quickly turn brown once they’re cut open. To prevent this, sprinkle the exposed flesh with a little bit of lemon or lime juice, or store the remaining half in an airtight container in the refrigerator with the pit still intact.

Mangoes
To prepare a Mango, first wash it thoroughly under running water. Next, carefully (adults only) slice off the stem end and stand the Mango upright on a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, carefully (adults only) slice the flesh off the Mango, starting from the top and cutting down each side of the flat pit in the centre. You can then cut the flesh into cubes or slices for use in salads, smoothies, or desserts.

Papayas
Use a sharp knife (adults only) to halve the papaya lengthwise. Use a spoon to scrape away the seeds and pulp. Be careful not to scoop too deeply into the fruit or you’ll lose some of the flesh. Trim the ends of the fruit. Use a peeler to remove the skin. Slice and dice.
